## What you’ll do:
"
Eaton’s Product Stewardship & Sustinability CoE is looking for highly motivated individuals who is passionate about environmental accounting and has strong inclination towards Sustainability domain. The Engineer will be conducting LCA/EPD & supporting New Product Introduction and compliance (climate and environmental regulations) for Eaton’s broad portfolio of products across Electrical Business. This work will help business across the enterprise meet customer requests related to Life Cycle Assessment, address regulatory challenges and create sustainability value propositions to gain additional business opportunities."
"1.Independently execute detailed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies as per ISO 14040 & 14044 to evaluate environmental impacts of Eaton electrical products followed by External/internal verification to publish type-III Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).
2.Implement LCA/EPD using the LCA Accleration tools and support in maintaining and developing the solutions to improve cycle time for LCA/EPD
3.Support the product engineering teams on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions associated with the electrical product’s lifecycle.
4.Support in developing eco-design tools and their implementation during new product introduction process.
5.Deploy Product Stewardship work package in Electrical Sector NPI products for EPR, Ecodesign and Chemicals in Products (REACH, ROHS, TSCA, CP65, ODS and POP)
6.Evaluate compliance in accordance with applicable eco-design related regulations (e.g. EU-ErP Directive)
7.Understand customer requirements and communicate to other Eaton teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate.
8.Provide regular reports on development and support activities.
9.Interact with key customers/stakeholders in understanding current & upcoming sustainability trends and their relevance to our products.
10.Contribute to continuous process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency."
## Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters' degree in Enviornmental science or Chemical/Mechanical/ Electronics /Electricals engineering
"1. Bachelors with 3-6 years’ experience or Masters with 2-4 years’ of progressive experience in the areas of Sustainability domain, Product or technology development for Industrial, Electrical/Electronic or Chemical products or process."
## Skills:
A proven track record of providing technical solutions for business problems.
"1. Understands requirements related to eco-design regulations (like ErP regulations) and work with product teams to ensure compliance while releasing new products.
2\. Need to have sound fundamental engineering knowledge and electrical concepts.
3\. Has experience of conducting LCA as per the specific rules as (ISO14040/44/25) and creating EPD as per Product Operator PCR and PSR
a. Has indepth understand of LCA/EPD standards and demonstrates LCA execution using modeling software like EIME (preferably), SimaPro, Sphera/GaBi, OpenLCA or any similar software.
b. Ability to define goal & scope of the study & working closely with product teams to get the required Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) data.
c. Can conduct sensitivity & scenario analysis and interpret LCA results for hotspots and provide recommendations.
d. Communicate the LCA impacts to internal and external stakeholders.
e. Knowledge of the sectoral standards EN 50693:2019 for electrical and electronic equipment
4\. Has experience of minimum 1 year on Electrical/Electronics products LCA and readiness as per EPD verifier criteria is preferred
5\. Has indepth knowledge & working experience on sustinability regulations - WEEE, EPR, REACH, RoHS, CP65, TSCA, POP, ODS and understand its impact on product and technology
6\. Experience in supporting/leading projects with multiple stakeholders in matrix organization and strong project management experience is required.
7\. Abreast of upcoming environmental regulations, trends, and methodologies
8\. Comfortable dealing with data and Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
9.Hands on experience on digital tools such as- Excel Macros, Python, PowerBi/Power Automate has added advantage"
