Position Summary

On-Site Wellness Coach – Job Overview

An On-Site Wellness Coach partners with employees to support and improve their overall health and well-being through personalized coaching, health education, and wellness programming. Working directly at employer locations, the coach engages individuals and groups to promote healthy lifestyle behaviors, reduce health risks, and support organizational wellness goals.

Work Schedule

Must live in South Carolina

• Full-time position.
• Standard schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM OR based on site-specific time requirements. 
• Flexibility may be required to support wellness events or employee programs based on client needs.

 Location Requirement

• Must reside in the state of South Carolina.
• Must reside within driving distance of Sumter, SC.
• Must have the ability to travel to onsite location daily.

 Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one health and wellness coaching using behavior change techniques and motivational interviewing.
• Conduct health risk assessments and review wellness screening results.
• Develop individualized action plans focused on areas such as nutrition, physical activity, stress management, weight management, sleep, and tobacco cessation.
• Facilitate wellness workshops, seminars, and group coaching programs.
• Promote participation in employer-sponsored wellness initiatives and benefits.
• Track participant progress, maintain accurate documentation, and measure program outcomes.
• Collaborate with employers, healthcare providers, and wellness teams to coordinate support services.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Exercise Science, Nutrition, Health Education, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Wellness coaching certification, health coaching certification, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in health coaching, employee wellness, population health, or behavior change programs.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of evidence-based wellness practices and chronic disease prevention.

• Working knowledge of execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
• Working knowledge of business intelligence
• Working knowledge of problem solving and decision-making skills
• Adept at collaboration and teamwork
• Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
• 3-5 years’ work experience
• High-speed, hard-wired internet connection
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• EMR documentation experience/EPIC preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$46,988.00 - $91,800.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
