The Redstone Raytheon Missile Integration Facility (RRMIF) Dock Lead is responsible for coordinating and leading the manufacturing and logistics activities on the RRMIF docks based on input from the Operations, Production Control, and Logistics leadership teams.  The successful candidate will report to Operations leadership and be accountable for the proper staging of material in support of factory priorities.  Duties include leading a small team to complete tasks such as hardware pack and unpack activities, cycle counts, palletization, kitting, put-away, and material movement, as well as ensuring the timing of those activities aligns with the overall flow of the factory and dock.

The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with strict requirements. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated skills and experience with inventory management, packing and handling sensitive materials, warehousing, and leading a small team.

 

What You Will Do:

The RRMIF Dock Lead is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Performing a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting tasks in support of the dock workflow
• Developing the plan and executing internal movement of material and equipment in support of the overall factory plan
• Leading a small team of dock personnel to achieve team objectives
• Coordinating with support personnel to ensure inventory is properly accounted for and maintained both physically and systemically
• Managing stock levels of line flow material
• Ensuring compliance to all pertinent operating procedures, work instructions, and requirements
• Working safely around explosive items and actively promoting a safe working environment
• Any other task as assigned in support of dock operations or the factory

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
• Minimum 8 years warehousing or manufacturing experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
• Knowledge of Quality practices on a manufacturing floor
• Experience in manufacturing line balancing
• Experience maintaining inventory in a factory environment
• Knowledge of existing RTX execution systems (PRISM, SAP, EMR)
• Ability to develop solutions to problems of medium scope and complexity
• Understanding of sequencing for fabrication, assembly, installation, testing and other manufacturing operations relation to specific portion of the product 
• Experience with automation systems

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 60,000 USD - 114,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
