Sky Sports operates internationally requiring robust planning of travel and events As the global landscape is becoming more complex to navigate, we have a need for a Senior Sports International Travel Manager to support production operational delivery & international compliance requirements. 

Sky Sports’ Production & Operations team has a wide and varied remit across our portfolio of sporting rights.

This vacancy is a 12-month fixed term contract based in the Sky Sports Production Team based in Osterley, and you will report into the Head of Production with a dotted reporting line into the Group Head of Global Mobility, Reward. You’ll lead on the operational delivery of sporting travel/events & engagements with a focus on international compliance ensuring robust processes and governance working closely with the Global Mobility function. 

What you’ll do

  • Lead and provide expertise for international events and travel, identifying all compliance requirements relating to Immigration, Tax, Social security, payroll etc.  

  • Monitor changes in circumstances (travel, appearances, contract amendments) and adjust compliance actions accordingly.  

  • Work with the Head of Production to plan and coordinate sporting events, liaising with tour providers to understand their support and identifying when Sky needs to use its own suppliers to manage compliance. 

  • Work directly with Sports Directors, Tax, Onboarding and Legal on all talent engagements to ensure the right contracts are executed and meet the relevant compliance considerations. 

  • Collaborate with Global Mobility and Immigration team to agree approach on major sporting events and talent engagements with international compliance requirements.  

  • Work with Immigration and Tax suppliers to effectively initiate and manage required services. 

  • Oversee and upskill the Sports Travel and Expense team in all aspects of coordinating international events & travel commitments.  

  • Develop robust processes & maintain robust tracking, documentation, and audit readiness for each case. 

Essential Criteria 

  • Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business and establish trust. 

  • A solid understanding of international compliance across immigration, tax, social security, payroll, and the full range of contract types (employees, FTCs, casual PAYE).  

  • Strong knowledge of IR35 and how it interacts with downstream compliance processes.  

  • Experience in the sports industry, including working with tour providers and navigating sports exemptions for international events.  

  • Proven ability to manage complex cases, translate technical advice into clear guidance, and resolve issues for senior stakeholders and talent.

We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 3 days in the office per week.
