Medical Assistant
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, team-oriented Medical Assistant to support both adult and pediatric patient care. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring appropriate supplies and equipment are available
- Identify and report defective or malfunctioning equipment to management
- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations and in-office procedures
- Obtain and accurately record vital signs, including height, weight, and blood pressure
- Promptly notify the provider of any abnormal findings
- Assist with specimen collection and perform phlebotomy as needed
- Support providers during exams and procedures
- Complete tasks as directed by the provider, nurse, manager, or lead
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous pediatric experience is a plus, but not required
- Must be comfortable assisting with both adult and pediatric patients
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- Medical Assistant Certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- Medical office experience preferred.
Mon-Fri varies between 9a-5p and 10a-6p
Salary Range: $23.37/hr - $24.72/hr
