Description
BDO Ireland is seeking a dynamic and experienced Qualified Senior to join our Audit Department. As a key contributor to our ongoing business transformation, you will play a pivotal role in driving our ambitious growth strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage all stages of audits, from planning to completion, across a diverse portfolio of International clients. You will supervise audit teams of up to three members, coordinate assignments, and act as the primary client contact during onsite fieldwork, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations. Strong leadership, communication skills, and audit experience are essential, as is the ability to adapt to the unique requirements of each sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all stages of external audits including planning, execution and completion
- Responsible for the coordination and supervision of teams of up to 3 people on various audit assignments
- Will be the main point of contact during onsite audit field with clients, and responsible for communicating with, and managing client expectations
- Effective communication with management and partner on progress and status of various audits will be a key requirement
- Required to work across a wide range of audit assignments and work on multiple teams
- Time management, work in progress management, delegation, use of initiative, excellent communication and assertiveness are skills required for this level
- Adhering to budgets and ensure deadlines are met will be a key element to the role
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- 3 – 4 years Audit experience
- Strong technical knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and client service ethos
- Adaptable to change
- Proficient on MS office (essential) and CaseWare (preferable)
- Good leadership and delegation skills
- Knowledge of APT (advantageous)
