Innovative Aerosystems (IA) is seeking a motivated Software Verification Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Exton, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer interested in aviation, embedded systems, and software quality to gain hands-on experience with FAA-certified avionics software and hardware development.
In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and learn industry-leading software verification processes governed by FAA DO-178C and DO-254 standards. You'll gain exposure to the complete software development lifecycle while contributing to safety-critical aerospace systems used in demanding flight environments.
Job Responsibilities
- Review software requirements and specifications
- Develop and execute requirements-based test procedures
- Perform graphics, I/O, unit-level, and system-level testing
- Conduct code-to-requirement traceability and regression analysis
- Participate in software code reviews and standards compliance activities
- Perform structural code coverage analysis
- Document software issues and support resolution efforts
- Prepare technical reports and verification documentation
- Collaborate with software, systems, and hardware engineering teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Computer Science
- Computer Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Experience with or academic exposure to:
- Embedded C programming
- Software testing and debugging
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Software verification or validation experience
- Knowledge of FAA DO-178B/C or DO-254 processes
- Experience with code reviews and static analysis
- Code coverage analysis experience
- Familiarity with Assembly language
- Excel/VBA experience
- FPGA or Verilog knowledge
- Aerospace, avionics, or embedded systems experience
