Our Supplier Quality Engineering team partners closely with global equipment and material suppliers to ensure the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance across the manufacturing supply chain. We are committed to driving continuous improvement, mitigating risk, and enabling operational excellence through strong supplier partnerships, data-driven decision making, and rigorous quality processes.

Position Overview:

The Sr Equipment Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining supplier quality programs that ensure equipment, materials, and manufacturing processes meet company requirements and applicable regulatory standards. This role serves as a key liaison with suppliers, leading quality improvement initiatives, corrective action processes, audits, and risk assessments while supporting continuous improvement across the supply base.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze supplier quality performance metrics, including yield, defect rates, on-time delivery (OTD), and parts per million (PPM), identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives with equipment and material suppliers.
  • Lead supplier corrective action processes, including 8D investigations, root cause analysis, containment verification, and implementation of sustainable corrective actions.
  • Own supplier process updates, coordinating approvals, risk assessments, and implementation verification across manufacturing sites.
  • Apply and implement quality methodologies such as Incoming Quality Control (IQC), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to ensure supplier compliance and process capability.
  • Support supplier audits and onsite engagements, ensuring compliance with company quality standards, government regulations, and industry requirements such as ISO and GMP standards where applicable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience applying quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, FMEA, process capability analysis, and statistical sampling techniques.
  • Proven experience conducting supplier audits and evaluating supplier compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP), or equivalent quality certification.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, capital equipment, or highly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI technologies to enhance executive communications, presentation development, and data-driven insights.
  • Proven ability to analyze large datasets, identify quality trends, and implement measurable supplier performance improvements across a global supply base.
