- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other practitioners as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel. Reports abnormal diagnostic data to physician/shift coordinator/supervisor as appropriate.
- Demonstrates ability to perform technical nursing procedures/skills of patient care competently, seeking assistance when appropriate.
- Implements patient histories, assesses patients' conditions, and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients. Documents on care plans as patient care evolves, including resolution of problems.
- Assesses patient educational needs and barriers to learning. Implements multidisciplinary patient education care plan and documents patient teaching.
- Administers and controls narcotics and medications accurately and in a timely manner. Signs out narcotics as per hospital policy.
Job Requirements
Required
- 1 year or equivalent hours of critical care (ICU or ER) experience within the last 3 years
- Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
Preferred
- Bachelors Of Science Nursing and 1-3 years More than 2 years of Acute Care RN experience, upon hire
