Leads team and independently supports the global design, implementation, and maintenance of private and public network infrastructure. Provides guidance and expertise to management and users on topics surrounding strategy and best practices. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may supervise a small team of individual contributors. Solves complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions. Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Advanced individual contributor who works on highly complex problems, tasks, or projects.
Principle Duties:
Leads and coordinates maintenance and upgrade of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems.
Accountable for appropriate monitoring of network connectivity and ensures high quality data transmission. Provides technical support to various departments and users with regards to LAN/MAN/WAN (local/metropolitan/wide area networks) and cloud-based networks.
Serve as a liaison with vendors and other third-party providers.
Leads the design public and/or private networks including LAN/MAN/WAN (local/metropolitan/wide area networks). Design work includes placement and specification of servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems.
Serve as a liaison with network engineers, vendors, and other third-party providers in installation of network.
Leads capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and disaster recovery testing.
Provides regular status, operational , incident, and change reports.
May supervise or manage four or fewer employees, and responsible for team's performance; coaches and mentors team members.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent Required
Work Experience:
8+ Years enterprise networking experience; Advanced expertise with network routing, switching, virtual private networks, wireless, WAN acceleration, protocol analysis, and Internet protocols Required
Skill & Abilites:
Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge. Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines. Required
Advanced investigative, analytical and problem solving skills. Advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions. Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions. Required
Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects. Advanced ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously. Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Required
Advanced skills in customer relationship management and change management. Advanced negotiating and persuasion skills. Required
Advanced skills of network cabling design and maintenance. Required Advanced expertise configuring, installing, and maintaining VoIP telephony. Required
Advanced skills utilizing networking testing and design tools. Advanced knowledge of networking concepts and data center layout. Required
Advanced expertise and knowledge of cloud networking. Required
Advanced knowledge of firewall systems, DMZ, and network security design. Advanced knowledge of unix and unix-based security systems. Required
Advanced knowledge of Cisco routing, switching and wireless, VoIP/TDM, Aruba wireless. Preferred
10+ years' enterprise networking experience; Advanced experience with software defined networking Preferred

Compensation Range:
$107,060.00 - $159,390.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
