Packaging Operator (6 Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Dungarvan, Co. Waterford

We are currently seeking a Packaging Operator to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract in Dungarvan.

This role will support the day-to-day operation of our packaging lines, ensuring products are packed safely, efficiently and in line with GMP, quality and production requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with production, quality and engineering teams to support new product introductions, process improvements and the achievement of departmental performance targets.

Responsibilities

  • Operate packaging equipment in accordance with SOPs, GMP and safety requirements.

  • Complete packaging activities in line with production schedules and quality standards.

  • Support line changeovers, product introductions and packaging trials.

  • Identify and escalate quality, safety or equipment issues impacting performance.

  • Assist with troubleshooting and root cause investigations to reduce downtime, waste and process losses.

  • Complete production documentation and batch records accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency and waste reduction.

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance within the packaging area.

  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality and Production teams to deliver departmental objectives.

  • Support training activities and ensure adherence to site procedures and standard work practices.

Requirements

Essential

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.

  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production, packaging or FMCG environment.

  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.

  • Experience completing production paperwork and working to quality standards.

  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Desirable

  • 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.

  • Experience working within a GMP-regulated industry such as pharmaceutical, healthcare, food or medical device manufacturing.

  • Technical qualification, apprenticeship, or relevant manufacturing certification.

  • Experience supporting continuous improvement activities and problem-solving initiatives.

   

    

EUR 34,826.00 - EUR 47,885.20 The salary range for this position is indicative and provided as a guide. The final offer may vary depending on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Further details regarding the total reward and benefits package will be shared during the recruitment process. Salary ranges may vary by location in line with local market conditions and applicable pay transparency regulations. Compensation information is shared for the primary location of this role. Where the position is advertised with additional locations the compensation range will be discussed during the recruiting process.
