The Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of services. You will be responsible for leading a team of cleaners, managing schedules, maintaining supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning staff.

• Actively participate in cleaning tasks to maintain high standards and lead by example.

• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

• Train and support staff in cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.

• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory.

• Prepare staff schedules and monitor attendance and performance.

• Respond to feedback and resolve service-related issues.

Communication

• Maintain clear and respectful communication with team members, and management.

• Provide regular feedback and guidance to staff to support performance and development.

• Handle concerns or conflicts professionally and constructively.

• Communicate cleaning standards and expectations effectively to ensure consistency.

Compliance & Safety

• Promote a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.

• Ensure proper use of PPE and cleaning equipment.

• Report hazards, accidents, and near-misses promptly.

• Provide training on manual handling, chemical safety, and emergency procedures.

Essential:

• Supervisory experience leading a cleaning team

• A strong work ethic and commitment to excellent cleaning standards

• A positive, can-do attitude and great attention to detail

• Good communication skills and the ability to stay organised

• The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure

• Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks or schedules
