Project Engineer Senior

## The group you’ll be a part of

WETS Deposition group at Lam India Global Hardware Technology (LIGHT) is hiring a Senior Project Engineer for its product development engineering and product ownership team.

## The impact you’ll make

## As a Senior Project Engineer, you will independently coordinate medium-complexity engineering change, product configuration and project implementation activities for WETS Deposition products. You will develop cut-in and execution plans, coordinate issue closure across functions, track cost, schedule, risks and deliverables, and support new product and option introduction while maintaining product structure and process discipline.

## What you’ll do

• Propose & implement solutions for medium complex PRs
• Coordinates with Engineering & SQAD to drive NCEs/NSRs/NCIs/FAs to closure
• Coordinates implementation (inc. writing COs) based on Engineering Approvals for OB/EOL parts and/or FFF changes.
• Defines lead time and cut-in strategy working in collaboration with Engineering & Product Management
• Implements new options with rule / item text definition with guidance and drives appropriate reviews
• Propose/contribute to process improvements in their area of operation
• Maintain and publish team KPIs.
• Own group specific engineering process flow and actions

## Who we’re looking for

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• Experience: Bachelors in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 5-8 years or Masters in Electrical Engineering between 3-5 years
• Does medium complex COs
• Can review problem reports and disposition them with guidance
• Can define and manage product options and variants with guidance
• Capable of tracking & reporting progress of tasks / simple projects using Project management techniques
• Identify & resolve solution implementation strategy issues
• Resolve item text and BoM structuring issues with guidance from Engineering & Config.
• Identify process gaps for persistent issues and propose solutions
• Collaborate with CFT for effective cut in of the change orders

## Preferred qualifications

• Experience in Semiconductor Wafer Fab Equipment (WFE) domain.
• Experience in capital equipment or similar (for e.g., Semiconductor, Process industries, medical instrumentation, Automotive, Aerospace, etc.) industry in a sub-system / module design project.
• Exposure to supplier coordination, manufacturing execution, quality task forces or field issue implementation.
• Awareness of DFX principles, product safety requirements and quality/reliability workflows
• Exposure to product configuration, option and variant management, and bill-of-material structures for complex equipment.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
