Governance Analyst, Architecture & Engineering

The Governance Analyst role plays a key part in helping shape and strengthen governance, risk, and control practices across Global Architecture & Engineering, working closely with leaders, subject matter experts, and risk partners across the organization.
The position offers broad exposure across A&E and the opportunity to influence how governance, risk, controls, audits, and regulatory commitments are managed across the organization.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain oversight of A&E risks, controls, corrective action plans, audit findings, and regulatory obligations to ensure they remain current, connected, and fit for purpose.
• Identify gaps, overlaps, and inconsistencies across risks, controls, and governance processes, recommending practical improvements.
• Drive the rationalization and simplification of governance, risk, and control processes across A&E.
• Partner with risk, compliance, audit, governance, and business stakeholders to align activities and provide oversight, challenge, and insight.
• Assess remediation plans, corrective actions, and risk commitments to ensure they remain appropriate, accountable, and on track.
• Support preparation for audits, governance reviews, and regulatory assessments.
• Develop concise executive-level reporting on risk, control, and governance matters.
• Translate complex information into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership.
• Identify and communicate key trends, themes, and systemic risks affecting A&E.
• Support governance forums, leadership reviews, and organizational risk discussions.
• Drive continuous improvement of governance practices, tools, and operating processes.

Required Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in governance, risk management, controls, audit, compliance, operational risk, business management, or a related function.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to assess issues holistically and identify root causes, gaps, and emerging risks.
• Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders in complex organizational environments.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and translate it into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience supporting governance forums, risk reviews, audits, regulatory initiatives, or remediation programs.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution, accountability, and follow-through.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Archer, Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar governance and workflow platforms.
• Experience supporting governance, risk, and control activities within Architecture & Engineering or another technology-focused function.
• Experience preparing concise risk and governance reporting for senior leadership.
• Knowledge of corrective action plans, regulatory commitments, and audit-remediation processes.

Salary range is expected to be between

$86,100.00 CAD - $136,100.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
