Secure rooms business for Four Seasons Resorts Thailand (including Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and Tented Camp Golden Triangle) by actively engaging with B2B and B2C travel partners (under Retail, Discount, Wholesale and Group segments) to maximize revenue/profit potential.
The candidate in this position will be based in Bangkok and reports to the Senior Director of Sales.
What you will do
Utilize various prospecting resources to solicit and secure business on behalf of collection in identified markets.
Manage a portfolio of travel partners across group segments, ensuring no conflict with WSO efforts.
Demonstrate agility to handle travel industry and FIT segment as needed – should be adaptable to the business needs.
Conduct business development initiatives with a proactive approach to lead generation and selling.
Create and execute sales development plans with defined goals for assigned market territory.
Use company wide programs, sales developments, prospecting projects, WSO customer events and reporting for business development.
Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and direct sales goals including sales calls, prospecting calls and entertainment as outlined.
Generate potential P2P leads on behalf of sister properties and the company.
Schedule activities effectively and meet deadlines proactively.
Handle sales calls and trips in a cost and time-efficient manner and within compliance of established budgets.
Establish and maintain strong sales system hygiene including account creation, account traces, contact information, client email lists, bookings, etc. in accordance with Four Seasons standards.
Understand and maximize the utilization of all automated sales and reservations systems (Opera) involved with groups, corporate or travel industry business.
Participate in sales meetings, pipeline meetings and leadership meetings as required.
What you bring
3-5 years previous Sales Manager experience
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of business objectives and needs.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast-paced client driven environment.
Professional attitude towards sales goals, targets and sales initiatives.
Emotional maturity in giving and receiving feedback.
Creativity and attention to detail.
Ability to attend travel-trade events and available for business meetings as needed.
Sales and Catering Computer Software, MS Word, Excel.
Experience with in-bound MICE preferred.
