Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division Aerospace division is currently seeking a Material Operations Supervisor.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

## What you’ll do:
Eaton's MSD (Mission Systems Division) is currently seeking a Supervisor, Material Operations. This position is based at our Westminster, MD facility and is responsible for leading the site's material operations team - receiving, stockroom, kitting, internal material movement, cycle counting and shipping - to ensure the right material is at the right place at the right time to support the production schedule. The supervisor leads a team of hourly material handlers, owns inventory accuracy and material flow performance, and partners with Supply Chain, Production, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to protect on-time delivery while driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead the daily execution of material operations across receiving, stockroom, kitting, point-of-use replenishment, internal material movement and shipping to support the production schedule.
- Supervise, coach and develop a team of material handlers and material coordinators, including staffing, training, performance management, timekeeping and adherence to plant policies and the collective work rules where applicable.
- Own inventory accuracy for the site: manage the cycle count program, drive root cause analysis of variances, and maintain accurate transactions and material master data in the ERP system.
- Ensure material is kitted and staged to the production plan; escalate shortages and expedite critical material with Supply Chain and Planning to prevent line stoppages.
- Achieve agreed-upon team goals for key performance indicators including safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory turns and responsiveness; report performance in daily accountability and tiered meetings.
- Ensure all material handling processes are executed in accordance with safety, quality, environmental and trade compliance requirements, including ITAR-controlled and export-controlled material handling, FOD prevention, ESD control and shelf-life control.
- Serve as a continuous improvement leader for material flow - apply lean tools (5S, standard work, kanban/pull, water spider routes, value stream mapping) to reduce waste, travel distance and inventory while improving flow.
- Support the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process with accurate material availability, inventory and capacity input.
- Partner with Quality on nonconforming material control, MRB material segregation, and disposition of scrap and excess/obsolete inventory.
- Manage warehouse layout, storage systems, material handling equipment and consumable supply programs; ensure equipment is inspected, maintained and safely operated (including powered industrial trucks).
- Support internal, customer and regulatory audits (AS9100, ITAR, customer and government source inspection) with accurate records and process compliance.
- Responsible for ensuring Environmental, Health and Safety are included as part of everyday activities, including incident reporting, near-miss elimination and completion of assigned EHS actions.
- Responsible for site compliance to all Eaton Supply Chain Management Policies addressing Materials and Inventory Management, and related controls, to include Vendor Supplied Materials and consigned inventory requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 2 years of experience in materials management, warehouse/stockroom, logistics, or mfg. operations …. OR…..HS degree with 5 years of same experience.
- Minimum one (1) years of supervisory experience in a Manufacturing or Operations environment .

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business or Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience in the Aerospace or Automotive Industry.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems for inventory transactions, cycle counting and material planning.
- 3-5 years of materials, warehouse or supply chain experience in an aerospace and/or defense manufacturing environment, including 2+ years supervising direct reports.
Technical knowledge
APICS CPIM/CSCP certification; lean/Six Sigma certification; experience with kanban and pull replenishment systems, barcode/RFID inventory systems, and AS9100 quality system requirements.
