Help us make a big green dent in the universe. We're on a mission to drive the global renewable energy revolution, and we need many more people to help us make our vision a reality.
Octopus Energy Generation (OEGEN) is a leader in sourcing, investing in, and managing a wide range of utility-scale renewable energy assets. As we continue to expand our investment base, we are dedicated to building a diverse team that reflects the communities we serve. Currently, we manage a global portfolio of over £8 billion in renewable energy assets.
We are committed to delivering best-in-class responsible investment activity, offering like-minded investors the means and products to invest their capital sustainably. It is our ambition to change the entire energy lifecycle and make every green electron matter, delivering the best outcomes for customers, investors, the environment and society, accelerating the transition to net zero.
About this role:
We are looking for an AM Operations Director to build the operating structure around Asset Management as OEGEN continues to grow and manage increasingly complex assets.
The role is about making sure the basics are done well and consistently, without problems repeatedly needing senior intervention. It will take ownership of important work that cuts across funds and functions, where standards already exist but are not consistently embedded, or where there is currently no clear owner.
The successful candidate will help ensure that OEGEN’s scale benefits investors: issues are identified earlier, suppliers are held to account, and lessons from one asset improve how we manage the wider portfolio. They will also support Asset Management leadership in the continual development of our high-performance culture.
The role will evolve with the business. As markets, grid arrangements, regulations, technology and operating models become more complex, the successful candidate will help ensure that the way OEGEN manages assets keeps pace. This may include developing the operating model for new platform businesses, IPPs, revenue functions and technology-enabled ways of working.
