Description
Getting to know GH&B
Global Hospital & Biosimilars (GH&B) makes the products that are the foundation of hospital care — sterile injectables and biosimilars – that reach more than 100 million patients annually, generating $5 billion in revenue for Pfizer. These are not niche products; they are for when patients are at the most vulnerable, essential to access and acute care delivery worldwide.
GH&B is Pfizer's only truly end-to-end business, spanning from our 12 global manufacturing sites through to commercial in a single integrated organization. It was created to give this portfolio dedicated focus, clearer accountability, and a fit-for-purpose operating model — recognizing that GH&B's portfolio has different economics, customer dynamics, and execution needs than Pfizer's innovative business.
By bringing Commercial and Supply into one organization, GH&B enables faster decision-making, stronger prioritization, and expanded capabilities for this important portfolio.
Our ambition: Rebuild a healthy operation positioned to serve patients for generations to come.
Use Your Power for Purpose
The Portfolio Management Lead is the strategic owner of the cluster's product portfolio across biosimilars and generics (Oncology, Immunology/Inflammation), responsible for driving portfolio prioritization, go-to-market design, launch sequencing, and lifecycle optimization across all cluster markets. The role translates global portfolio strategy into cluster-specific execution plans, ensuring the right products reach the right markets at the right time -- balancing growth ambition with resource constraints and competitive realities.
This is a build-and-shape role: the Portfolio Management Lead will establish portfolio governance and decision-making frameworks from the ground up, identify white-space growth opportunities, and orchestrate cross-functional launch readiness in a newly formed cluster operating model.
What You Will Achieve
Portfolio Strategy & Prioritization
Own the cluster portfolio strategy across biosimilars and generics; prioritize products by market opportunity, competitive dynamics, and margin contribution
Translate global portfolio and lifecycle decisions into cluster-specific roadmaps, calibrating to local market realities (regulatory timelines, competitive landscapes, payer requirements)
Conduct portfolio gap analysis and white-space identification to inform growth opportunities and in-licensing/expansion discussions with Global
Manage portfolio rationalization decisions – recommend product additions, withdrawals, or re-sequencing based on evolving market intelligence
Go-to-Market Design
Design go-to-market approaches tailored to cluster archetypes -- adapting to contract-driven, tender-driven, or partner/distributor-led environments
Define the commercial model per product and market: channel mix, customer targeting (hospital pharmacy, tender bodies, payers, wholesalers), and the resourcing required to execute
Drive launch readiness and launch sequencing for new product introductions, coordinating cross-functional workstreams (Medical, Regulatory, Supply, Market Access, Tenders & Contracting) and optimizing timing against competitive windows, supply availability, and market access milestones
Growth Opportunities & Market Development
Identify and develop growth opportunities through portfolio expansion, geographic extension, and new indication pull-through
Assess and recommend entry strategies for underpenetrated markets within the cluster
Collaborate with Global Portfolio Strategy on pipeline visibility and early commercial input for assets relevant to the cluster
Lead business case development for portfolio investments, working with Finance and Commercial Performance to model revenue scenarios
Partnership & Alliance Management
Decide which portfolio assets are best commercialized through partners or distributors versus direct Pfizer execution, and recommend the partnering model by asset and market
Drive partner selection process: define selection criteria, lead evaluation and due diligence, and recommend commercial terms for Cluster Lead approval (incl. Legal, Finance, and Compliance)
Own the ongoing partner relationship – joint business planning, target setting, and volume and stock commitments — working within the SLA and governance parameters set at the cluster level
Track partner performance against agreed targets and re-assess, renegotiate, or exit arrangements where performance, compliance, or shifting portfolio priorities require it
Supply Interface & Demand Planning
Serve as the primary commercial interface to PGS/Supply Chain for demand planning, allocation and prioritization decisions, stock-out risk mitigation, and product availability commitments across the cluster, in partnership with Global
Translate commercial forecasts and launch plans into supply requirements; escalate and manage supply constraint trade-offs across markets
Leverage the technical supply forecasts and analytics produced by the Commercial Performance to inform commercial demand planning, improve forecast accuracy, and flag constraint risk earlier
Cross-Functional Portfolio Governance
Establish and lead portfolio governance forums within the cluster -- including regular portfolio reviews, launch readiness gates, and lifecycle decision checkpoints
Coordinate with Pricing, Market Access, and Tenders & Contracting to ensure portfolio decisions are reflected in pricing corridors, tender strategies, and formulary submissions
Partner with Marketing on brand positioning and clinical education strategy for priority portfolio assets
Collaborate with the Commercial Performance Manager to ensure portfolio KPIs, revenue tracking, and competitive intelligence feed back into portfolio decisions
Technology & AI Enablement
Champion adoption of AI-enabled ways of working and foster a culture of data-driven portfolio decision-making
Leverage technology, data, and AI-driven insights to inform portfolio strategy, accelerate launch readiness, and improve demand forecasting accuracy
Demonstrate strong personal digital literacy and AI fluency, modelling practical use of data, digital tools, and AI-enabled solutions
Identify and scale opportunities for automation and simplification in portfolio management processes
Ensure responsible use of AI through appropriate governance, risk awareness, and human oversight
Marketing & Brand Activation (in promotionally sensitive markets or if launch)
Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and clinical education strategies for priority portfolio assets – KOL mapping, congress presence, and conversion programming to support biosimilar switching and new product adoption among target HCPs and hospital pharmacists
Lead market development planning for growth brands, identifying patient pools, referral pathways, and demand-generation levers across cluster markets
Own promotional activity for select brands — campaign development, materials creation, and channel strategy – adapting global brand positioning and channel standards (digital, peer-to-peer, field-led) to local market needs, leveraging AI-enabled scientific content where available
Coordinate with Medical Affairs on compliant scientific engagement, ensure alignment with local regulatory requirements, and monitor brand performance to adjust marketing investment against competitive dynamics and uptake
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Bachelor's degree required in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred

Demonstrated experience managing multi-product portfolios across multiple markets, including launch planning and lifecycle optimization
