Job title – Plant Manager (Animal Nutrition)
Location – Chonburi, Thailand
This position is responsible for the overall plant performance for the business. This is accountable on the overall ANHnewco SHE, Quality, Compliance, Manufacturing, Asset Care, People and Cost according to ANHnewco standards.
This position also ensures that producing the products on the least possible cost while upholding the responsibility of being a good organization within the community. The plant manager will ensure that all government regulations are in-compliance and being reported to headquarters in the region.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that operations comply with ANHnewco standards for SHE, Security and Quality and follow the local regulations and laws (with all necessary permits to operate and updated)
- Define, develop and manage an efficient and effective operation system and procedures for production and related activities.
- Ensure that the management system (including SHE) is in place, maintained, communicated and complied with; Promote the SafeStart working culture; Investigate and report accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Ensure that the installation is managed in a technically sound, safe and environmentally acceptable manner, by complying with all ANHnewco requirements and other relevant requirements and best practices.
- Control maintenance and repair of factory equipment/machinery and comply with MOC.
- Set targets and Key Performance Indicators and ensure adequate management.
- Reporting of the performance of the plant, in line with Triple P reporting.
- Be the linking pin between the plant and the Commercial Operating Unit led by the General Manager (dotted reporting line)
- Continually analyze plant performance and drive continuous improvements.
- Manage inventory control and optimize based on the commercial sales demand and forecast
- Manage the implementation of innovations and new technologies and CAPEX projects.
- Select, manage, coach and develop staff, in line with ANHnewco values and HR requirements and procedures.
- Propose plan and implement training programs for production staff.
- Recruitment of production staff.
- Regular communication with regional managers for improvement and implementation.
- Comply with ANHNEWCO software programs such as SAP, Trackwise, IRIS and the likes.
- Ensure SHE documentation is up to date (JSA, MSA, HAZOP Study) and actions closed.
- Identify critical positions in the plant and ensure appropriate measures are undertaken to minimize interruptions and downtime.

You Bring:
- University degree in Engineering, Operations Management or Business Administration
- Relevant tertiary qualifications together with proven expertise in quality systems and experience in a dry or liquid blend manufacturing environment at Supervisor or more than 10 years plant operations.
- At least 5 years of people management and able to execute disciplinary actions
- Knowledge of SHE, operational safety, plant software application, chemicals and their properties. Experienced in emergency management.
- Knowledgeable in ISO, GMP or HACCP
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Proven problem solving techniques or trouble shooting
- Knowledgeable in cost saving practices and operational excellence
- Knows how to communicate in all levels of the organization
