National Clinical Governance Coordinator
Are you passionate about patient safety, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement?
We are seeking an experienced and motivated National Clinical Governance Coordinator to help strengthen clinical governance systems, improve patient outcomes, and support safe, high-quality healthcare delivery across our Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPT), Event Medical Services, Mining, Oil & Gas operations.
The Role
Reporting to the National Clinical Governance Manager, you'll coordinate clinical governance initiatives that support patient safety, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous quality improvement across all business units. Working closely with operational leaders, clinicians, medical practitioners, and key stakeholders, you'll help maintain high standards of clinical care and support the organisation's quality and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate clinical governance activities across SMA, SMR and SDS service lines.
- Support compliance with legislation, accreditation standards, governance frameworks, and organisational policies.
- Coordinate clinical incident reporting, investigations, root cause analyses, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
- Monitor clinical trends, identify improvement opportunities, and support patient safety initiatives.
- Coordinate clinical audits, quality improvement projects, and evidence-based practice improvements.
- Analyse clinical data and prepare governance reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Support governance education and promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across geographically dispersed teams.
About You
You're an organised, proactive healthcare professional with experience in clinical governance, quality, risk, compliance, audit, or patient safety. You can interpret governance requirements, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships across clinical and operational teams while managing multiple priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Paramedicine or Nursing.
- Current AHPRA Registration with no restrictions or conditions.
- Experience in patient transport, emergency services, event medical, remote healthcare, mining, oil & gas, or occupational health.
- Knowledge of clinical governance frameworks, accreditation standards, incident management systems, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Strong report writing, stakeholder engagement, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support operational sites, audits, governance initiatives, and stakeholder engagement.
- Must be an Australian Citizen or have Full Australian work rights
