Description

Position Overview:

Mount Mary University seeks a strategic, compassionate, and culturally responsive leader to serve as the Director of Relationship Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking Services. This position leads the Soaring Above: Blue Angels' Strategies to Reduce DVSAS on Campus initiative, funded by the U.S. Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). The Director is responsible for implementing a trauma-informed, prevention-based, and collaborative approach that shifts campus culture, builds capacity, and reduces the incidence of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking (DVSAS) through education, outreach, and systems-level change.

Key Responsibilities:

Capacity Building & Collaboration

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive campus-wide strategies to build institutional capacity for preventing and responding to DVSAS.
  • Chair and coordinate the Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT), ensuring diverse representation from students, staff, faculty, and community partners.
  • Cultivate partnerships with culturally specific service providers to ensure accessible and inclusive services for all students, especially those from underserved populations.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration, integrating public safety, residential life, counseling services, and campus ministry into prevention and response efforts.
  •

Program Oversight & Compliance

  • Manage all aspects of the OVW Campus Grant project including reporting, budget alignment, training compliance, and documentation.
  • Serve as liaison with OVW program staff and technical assistance providers.
  • Ensure implementation aligns with federal guidelines, MMU & SSND mission, and grant deliverables.

Prevention, Education, and Training

  • Lead the development and implementation of a trauma-informed, culturally relevant prevention curriculum designed to reach 100% of MMU students through required programming, workshops, and classroom integration.
  • Design and facilitate professional development and training opportunities for students, staff, faculty, and campus leadership on topics such as healthy relationships, boundaries, trauma response, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and bystander intervention.

Direct Support Services & Advocacy

  • Coordinate confidential, student-centered services including warm referrals, advocacy, and support tailored to individual needs.
  • Lead efforts to remove barriers to reporting and service access through culturally responsive and identity-affirming outreach.
  • Assist in policy updates and campus-wide initiatives that promote equity, accountability, and healing-centered practices.

Program Evaluation & Sustainability

  • Track program outcomes, gather qualitative and quantitative data, and use findings to continuously improve services and engagement.
  • Contribute to long-term sustainability planning through institutional buy-in, resource development, and systemic integration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, public health, education, or a related field, or commensurate experience. Master's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and culturally responsive practices.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, first-generation, and commuter students.
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills, with a proven ability to manage projects and build collaborative teams.
  • Familiarity with Title IX, Clery Act, and federal violence prevention guidelines preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

Mount Mary University welcomes and encourages applications from qualified candidates and all will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, ethnicity, pregnancy, disability, genetic information, or any other groups protected by law. Mount Mary seeks to hire and retain personnel who will make a positive contribution to its mission, vision, and values.
