Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Sector is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Project Manager to support multiple Operating Units (OUs) across the Navigation and Cockpit Systems (NACS) Business Unit (BU) in the Navigation Intelligence and Connectivity (NIC) Division. This role provides comprehensive project and business operations support to the Woodland Hills site and NACS Business Unit leadership, with a strong focus on project coordination, and execution of NCTA and Capital projects. The selected candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously, develop and maintain schedules and metrics, track performance to budget, and create executive-level communications and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. This is a full-time on-site position in Woodland Hills, CA.

What You’ll Get To Do:

Project & Operational Support (NCTA / Capital / Internal Projects)

  • Manage project management tasks to oversee, report progress, and drive closure on concurrent projects across NCTA, Capital, and internal initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and progression metrics in collaboration with project owners.

  • Assist project owners in developing project criteria that align with scope, schedule, and budget constraints.

  • Coordinate across functions (engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, quality, etc.) to break constraints and remove roadblocks impacting project execution.

  • Proactively identify and vocalize help needed to resolve issues that could delay project progression; reach out to appropriate stakeholders to coordinate and close actions.

  • Assist in development of project budgets and schedules for successful project execution.

  • Track execution and projected performance to budget and schedule; support accurate forecasting of Estimate at Completion (EAC) and variance explanations.

  • Review project status and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare regular status reports and dashboards for leadership.

  • Identify project risks and issues and develop resolutions and return‑to‑green plans to meet Business Unit and Division goals and objectives.

  • Host recurring status/progress reviews for assigned projects; capture updates, risks, help needed, and action items; ensure closure of actions and accurate reflection of project health.

Leadership & Site / Business Unit Support

  • Develop executive-level presentations and communications in support of Woodland Hills site and NACS Business Unit objectives.

  • Serve as a liaison between Operating Unit Leadership, the Business Unit Vice President, and Division Leadership to ensure alignment and effective communication.

  • Support planning and execution of Business Unit Reviews, executive site visits, and multiple annual site events.

  • Coordinate with functional and program teams to ensure messaging is accurate, aligned, and timely.
