Description
As a Development Asset Lead (DAL) at Biogen, you will be the full-time leader of one or more preclinical or clinical stage portfolio assets within the Development team. With a focus on strategic and multi-disciplinary drug development, you will drive the value creation and delivery of these assets. You will develop and execute integrated asset plans, working seamlessly across functions to ensure comprehensive representation of business considerations in planning and execution. Your role is pivotal, as you will be accountable to Biogen's governance mechanisms, representing the asset in portfolio governance forums and engaging with senior stakeholders. By defining clear asset goals and deliverables, you will ensure projects are effectively managed and resources strategically applied, fostering a productive and healthy team environment.
- Lead the development and ongoing refinement of the integrated plan for asset(s) to maximize value creation and efficient execution.
- Establish and maintain asset goals, timelines, and risk management in collaboration with project management.
- Drive accountability of functional team members and ensure delivery of functional level plans aligned with the asset strategy.
- Represent the asset at portfolio governance forums and in discussions with senior stakeholders.
- Engage proactively with stakeholders to support asset execution and portfolio decision-making integrating scientific and business considerations.
- Cultivate a strong team culture that promotes effective planning and execution of asset strategies.
- Contribute to the department community of practice to share learnings and promote program synergies.

- Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree strongly preferred (MS/MD/PhD/PharmD/MBA).
- 10-12 years of drug development experience in pharma or biotech.
- Demonstrated track record of strategic leadership of teams delivering on complex cross-functional goals.
- Experience in creating and executing clinical development plans aligned to broader strategies.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic areas and optimal development strategies.
- Ability to understand competitive and business implications of scientific and medical data.
- Deep understanding of Minimum and Target Product Profile (MPP, TPP) concepts.
- Working understanding of regulatory requirements and processes for drug development and registration.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to empathize and influence different audiences.

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
