Description
Support finance and tax group with various tax and accounting matters including but not limited to direct and indirect tax reporting, fixed asset reporting, information reporting, account analysis and reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate compliance with federal, state and local income taxes, indirect taxes, and property taxes.
What you will do:
Coordinate with internal and external resources to complete tax compliance across all tax types – income, franchise/excise, sales/use, property, local, business licensing and others in multi-jurisdictional environment.
Maintain various accounting processes including review of input into fixed asset system for income and property tax reporting and prepare reports/account reconciliations related thereto.
Prepare calculation of quarterly tax provision and related footnotes for financial reporting purposes. Assist with preparation of related quarterly tax memos.
Ensure timely payment of indirect taxes. Review and evaluate property tax assessments for accuracy and reasonableness.
Assist with completion of supporting tax documentation across all tax types and prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
Maintain currency with federal, state and local tax legislation and accounting pronouncements.
Travel 0-10 %.
Who you are:
4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
5 years experience in both public accounting and private industry required.
Master's Degree preferred.
Knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
Knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations and capability of application in new situations.
Working knowledge of tax research tools.
Advanced proficiency with Excel.
Skill in analyzing processes to determine the potential of automation for greater efficiencies.
Ability to work independently and at all levels necessary for successful completion of projects.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing with internal and external business partners.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $130,000 annually
