About the Position
Local Service Unit Controller (f/m/d)

Job Description
The ideal candidates will have strong experience in managing, organizing and ramping up department structures, ideally with a multi-product mix. They will also have a proven track record of leading collaboration and innovation in a matrix organization, with both external and internal stakeholder management, able to optimize the management of diverse teams whilst delivering results.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Local Service Unit Financial Leadership
- Lead all controlling activities for the Local Service Unit.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes.
- Monitor revenue, gross margin, EBIT, cash flow and working capital.
- Act as finance lead for the assigned Local Product Group.
- Support pricing, product profitability and portfolio decisions.
- Provide decision support through financial analysis and business cases.
- Ensure compliance, governance and internal controls.
- Lead and develop the local controlling team.
2. Product Group Controlling
- Act as the finance lead for the assigned Product Group within the local organization.
- Evaluate product profitability, pricing, margin development, and cost structures.
- Support product portfolio decisions and investment cases.
- Partner with Hub and LSU Management, Product Management, Operations, Project Management and Sales.
- Monitor product lifecycle financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for growth, cost optimization, and profitability improvement.
3. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes.
- Prepare management reports and performance dashboards.
- Conduct variance analysis against Budget, Forecast, Prior Year, Strategic Plans
- Deliver actionable financial insights to leadership.
- Develop scenario planning and sensitivity analyses.
4. Business Partnering
- Challenge and support management decisions through fact-based financial analysis.
- Influence strategic and operational decision-making.
- Support commercial reviews, bid approvals, and major investment decisions.
- Facilitate performance review meetings with business leaders.
- Drive accountability for financial results across the organization.

5. Cost and Productivity Management
- Monitor and optimize fixed and variable cost structures.
- Drive productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Support value engineering and cost reduction programs.
- Ensure transparency of manufacturing, operational, and overhead costs.
- Track and report savings initiatives and realization.
6. Governance, Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with corporate finance policies and accounting standards.
- Maintain effective internal controls and risk management processes.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Promote financial discipline and governance throughout the organization.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
7. Working Capital & Cash Management
- Drive improvements in Inventory management, Accounts receivable, Accounts payable, Cash conversion cycle
- Monitor cash performance and support liquidity optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to improve inventory efficiency.
8. Project Controlling
- Own and oversee project controlling activities across the Local Service Unit.
- Monitor project profitability, revenue recognition, cost development, risks, and opportunities.
- Support project reviews
- Partner with Project Managers to improve project execution and financial performance.
- Ensure accurate project forecasting, margin tracking, cash flow management, and milestone monitoring.
9. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop the local controlling team.
- Foster a performance-driven and collaborative culture.
- Build finance capabilities within the organization.
- Coach business partners in financial understanding and decision-making.
- Promote continuous improvement and digitalization within finance processes.
Experience
- Master's Degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or technology environments.
- Proven track record supporting both operational and strategic business decisions.
- Experience working in a matrix organization and international environment.
