Description

We are seeking an experienced Finance Operational Excellence professional to drive transformation, process optimization, and productivity improvement initiatives across our Global Financial Accounting organization, based in Suzhou China.

## What you’ll do:

As part of Eaton's Global Finance organization, the Global Financial Accounting OPEX Lead drives continuous improvement initiatives across the Suzhou GFSS center and collaborates with global finance teams to enhance operational efficiency, standardization, and cost effectiveness. This role will partner with finance leaders and global stakeholders to improve efficiency, standardize processes, and build a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate combines finance process expertise, operational excellence capabilities, and strong change leadership skills to deliver measurable business outcomes.

The Finance Operational Excellence (OPEX) Lead plays a critical role in driving process excellence, productivity improvement, and transformation initiatives across the Global Financial Accounting organization. This position partners with finance and cross-functional stakeholders to simplify processes, improve operational performance, and strengthen continuous improvement capabilities across global finance operations.

The successful candidate will combine strong business process expertise with change leadership and stakeholder management skills to deliver measurable operational and financial impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, standardization, and scalability across GFA operations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and improve service delivery through structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Facilitate process improvement workshops and value stream assessments to drive sustainable operational improvements.
  • Partner with finance, shared services, and business stakeholders to standardize key processes and establish best practices.
  • Drive productivity, cost optimization, and automation initiatives while ensuring effective change management and stakeholder adoption.
  • Develop performance metrics, dashboards, and governance mechanisms to track improvement outcomes and business impact.
  • Coach and support teams in continuous improvement methodologies and a culture of operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with global leadership teams to prioritize strategic initiatives and build long-term transformation roadmaps.

## Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Finance Transformation, Process Excellence, Shared Services, or Global Business Services environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading business process improvement, productivity enhancement, transformation, or operational excellence initiatives with measurable results.
  • Experience working within finance operations, finance shared services, GBS, SSC, or related business process environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, project leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders in a global environment.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Shared Services Center (SSC), Global Business Services (GBS), or Finance Transformation experience.
  • Experience in process automation, digital transformation, or finance systems optimization initiatives.
