Description
Network for Hope is seeking a Hospital Partnership Liaison to serve as a key connection between our organization and hospital partners. This role builds and maintains strong relationships with hospital leaders and clinical teams, provides education and support related to organ, tissue, and eye donation, and works collaboratively with hospital partners to strengthen donation practices and outcomes.
This position is based in the Louisville, KY region and primarily works standard business hours. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be needed to respond to emergent hospital partner or operational needs. The position may also require travel throughout Network for Hope's donation service area based on operational needs.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable building relationships across all levels of a healthcare organization. This role requires someone who can balance strategic partnership development with day-to-day responsiveness and who is passionate about supporting our mission to honor, save, and heal lives.

Key Responsibilities
Hospital Support & Relationship Management

Collaborate with hospital leadership to establish donation goals, align priorities, and implement strategic initiatives that promote a culture of donation.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, chaplains, social workers, respiratory therapists, and administrators.

Maintain a consistent onsite presence through hospital rounding, education, relationship-building, and engagement.

Identify opportunities for improvement and partner with hospital teams to develop and implement solutions that strengthen donation processes and outcomes.

Provide ongoing support to hospital partners, including issue resolution and real-time guidance during urgent situations.

Anticipate and respond to evolving hospital needs, including regulatory, policy, process, and staffing changes.

Support adherence to donation best practices and applicable regulatory requirements.

Identify and develop hospital "champions" who can advocate for and support donation processes within their organizations.
Education & Training

Develop and deliver engaging education on donation processes, regulations, and best practices.

Provide real-time education and guidance during active donation cases when needed.

Educate hospital partners on donation pathways, clinical processes, and regulatory requirements.

Reinforce hospital staff understanding of roles and responsibilities throughout the donation process.
Data Analysis & Performance Improvement

Collect, analyze, and report hospital-specific donation metrics and outcomes.

Identify trends in referrals, conversions, and overall donation performance.

Present data, audit findings, and process improvement opportunities to hospital leadership.

Participate in post-donor reviews to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and refine strategies.

Partner with hospital teams to develop and implement process improvements that enhance donation practices and outcomes.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including PDSAs.

Accurately document hospital interactions and activities in the electronic donor record.
Compliance & Collaboration

Collaborate with hospital committees and key stakeholders to address donation-related processes and performance.

Support compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including CMS requirements and hospital accreditation standards.

Conduct follow-up when process gaps or variances are identified and collaborate with hospital partners on appropriate solutions.

Share best practices and lessons learned across hospital partners and Network for Hope teams to support continuous improvement.

Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members.

Perform additional duties as assigned, consistent with the scope of the role.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Healthcare, Communications, Social Work, or a related field required. Exceptional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
Experience: At least three years of experience in healthcare, marketing, communications, business development, social work, or a related field. Direct clinical or hospital experience is preferred. The position requires excellent communication, relationship-building, collaboration, and analytical skills.
