Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Engagement in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests, tenants, and visitors. You will use customer service and communication skills while documenting activity with computer or tablet tools. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting maintenance issues, hazards, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with site management, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
