What You’ll Be Part Of
Are you curious about how social media works in practice and how iconic brands build relevance through content, culture, and creativity?
As a Social Media Intern, you will support the EMEA JBL Social Media team in connecting with audiences across Europe. You'll help bring campaigns, content, and cultural moments to life across social platforms while gaining first-hand experience working for one of the world's leading audio brands.
As an intern, you won't just observe how social media marketing works, you'll actively contribute to real campaigns, collaborate with teams and agency partners across the region, and gain practical experience in social strategy, content execution, community management, reporting, and digital marketing.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Support the day-to-day management of always-on and campaign content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant social platforms
- Assist with the adaptation and rollout of global and regional brand campaigns across EMEA social channels
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, local markets, and agency partners to ensure content is locally relevant and receives the necessary approvals
- Review social content, copy, and paid ad previews across different markets and placements
- Support content planning, scheduling, and approval processes
- Monitor content performance and community engagement using tools such as Sprout Social and Power BI
- Support reporting activities and help identify key learnings and optimization opportunities
- Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions, trend spotting, and content ideation
- Stay up to date on emerging social trends, creators, formats, and cultural moments relevant to JBL
- Provide a Gen Z perspective on content, campaigns, and social presence
- Support campaign asset preparation, content organization, and team coordination activities
- Collaborate closely with the wider marketing team and agency partners on product launches, events, and key campaigns
What Makes You A Strong Fit
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, or a related field at a university in the Netherlands
- Strong interest in social media, digital marketing, content creation, and online culture
- Good understanding of platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, including how content performs across each platform
- Passion for keeping up with social trends, creators, and emerging digital behaviors
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Creative mindset and willingness to contribute fresh ideas and perspectives
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to work across teams and markets
- Fluent in English; additional European languages such as German or French are a plus
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with social media management or analytics tools is an advantage
- Proactive attitude, curiosity, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced international environment
What You Can Expect
This 6-month internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, international marketing environment. With guidance and support from the EMEA Social Media team, you'll contribute to real social media campaigns, content initiatives, and product launches across Europe.
You'll gain practical experience in social media strategy, content planning, campaign execution, community management, performance reporting, and agency collaboration. You'll also have the opportunity to work with multiple markets across EMEA, learn how global campaigns are adapted for local audiences, and contribute your own ideas and perspective to help JBL stay relevant and authentic on social media.
This internship provides a strong foundation for a future career in social media, digital marketing, brand management, content strategy, or communications.
