Lead Practitioner | Disability Services, NDIS
Employment Term: Permanent Full Time
Location: Chermside
Remuneration: $46.70 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our UnitingCare team
Work in collaboration with people with disabilities, their families, and personal networks to
assist the people we serve in everyday living situations
Mentor, lead and manage a team of Disability Support Practitioners to deliver high quality care and support
Ensure safe efficient and sustainable day to day management of resources for particular
arrangements, including staff, records, budget, buildings and vehicles
Implement intentional safeguards for people being supported
Recognise and uphold the right to privacy, dignity and confidentiality of the person being
supported and their family.
What makes a difference for us?
Leadership experience in a similar role and relevant qualifications in the Human Services, Community Services or related industry
Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and mentor staff, working within established budget, direction and guidelines
Demonstrated experience with internal and external reporting matrix’s and case management experience will be beneficial along with demonstrated experience in appropriately managing emergency or crisis situations
A willingness to understand the application of the principles of family or self-governance, personal autonomy, choice and control and intentional safeguarding for our clients
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of driving safety measures and auditing requirements
Knowledge of legislation underpinning the provision of services within the disability sector and the key issues affecting quality of life for people with a disability
Completed the NDIS worker orientation module "Quality, Safety and you" Capacity to undertake On-Call Responsibilities
A current Positive Notice from Disability Services, willingness to undergo a “Working with Children Check” and a Suitability Card (Blue Card) prior to commencing employment.
