About the Role:

Assist the Chief Appraiser with providing appraisal services to the lending community. Coordinates the residential appraisal process and maintains appropriate recordkeeping for regulatory compliance. Responsible to lead the appraisal coordinator team when Appraisal Coordinator Manager is not present. Provides oversight to team when delegated by manager.

  • Maintain the approved residential appraiser list.

  • Responsible for engaging residential appraisals for the lending departments. Coordinate and facilitate daily schedule and workload balance of appraisal coordinator team. Responsible to assist Appraisal Coordinator Manager with weekly invoice reconciliation.

  • Monitor and manage the residential appraisal process from engagement to completion and distribution of the assignment.

  • Assist Appraisal Coordinator Manager with writing, implementing and training procedures with internal system and external AMC systems. Assist with AMC audit process and procedures.

  • Responsible for making recommendations to the Chief Appraiser regarding the continuation, limitations or removal of an appraiser from the approved appraiser panel.

  • Assist the Chief Appraiser in the development and implementation of appraisal procedures.

  • Assist the credit department personnel regarding appraisal issues as required in the credit management process. Assist appraisal coordinator team with first level questions and issues. Analyze and direct appraisal technical questions to review team as necessary.

  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

  • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words.

About You:

Education

  • High school diploma/GED (preferred)


Experience

  • 4-7 years — of relevant experience in a lending services related position. Must have an advanced knowledge of the appraisal process. (Required)


Skills

  • Possess solid general office/administrative skills and the ability to independently manage multiple tasks.

  • Knowledge of the appraisal process and regulations associated with it.

  • Knowledge of banking infrastructure (preferably Columbia Bank’s) and the role of the appraisal department.

  • Proficient with MS Office; experience with RIMS preferred.

  • Ability to Effectively communicate before a group of people to provide updates and training.

  • Advanced interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Possess solid general office/administrative skills and the ability to independently manage multiple tasks.

The pay range for this role is $23 to $35.

The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.

Primary Location: Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s).
