Summary

 

Providence Health Care is seeking a Workday Transformation Lead to play a key role in the provincial Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) transformation. Working at the intersection of people practices, technology, and organizational change, you will represent PHC's interests while helping shape future-state HR processes and ways of working across the province.As PHC's primary lead for HCM transformation activities, you will collaborate with provincial partners, project teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure PHC's business requirements, operational realities, and strategic priorities are reflected throughout design, testing, implementation, and transition activities. You will translate complex project decisions into meaningful organizational impacts, support executive decision-making, and help prepare the organization for adoption of a new provincial HCM platform and operating model.In this role, you will:
  • Serve as PHC's primary representative in provincial Workday and HCM transformation initiatives.
  • Act as a key liaison between PHC leaders, subject matter experts, provincial partners, and project teams.
  • Provide strategic advice and recommendations related to HCM policies, processes, system design, and organizational impacts.
  • Coordinate PHC participation in design workshops, testing activities, implementation planning, and change readiness initiatives.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, process gaps, and operational considerations that may affect successful implementation.
  • Support senior leadership in understanding decisions, trade-offs, and organizational implications associated with the transformation.

 

What You Bring

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Information Systems, Change Management, or a related discipline.
  • Project Management, Change Management, Human Resources, or HCM-related certification is considered an asset.

Skills and Abilities

  • Significant experience in human resources, people operations, organizational transformation, project delivery, or enterprise HCM implementations.
  • Experience supporting large-scale organizational change initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR policies, processes, and operating models.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, change management, risk management, and stakeholder engagement practices.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical and operational information into clear recommendations for diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-support capabilities.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build collaborative partnerships across organizations.
  • Experience working in a complex, highly matrixed environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience implementing or supporting Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions.
  • Experience within health care, a health authority, a shared services environment, or another large unionized organization is considered an asset.

Your Day to Day

  • Represent PHC in provincial Workday implementation, HCM policy, and transformation activities.
  • Participate in design workshops, working groups, testing activities, and implementation planning sessions.
  • Gather and document PHC business requirements, operational processes, and system considerations.
  • Identify and communicate PHC-specific process differences, operational requirements, and risks.
  • Coordinate input from People leaders, subject matter experts, and operational stakeholders.
  • Assess organizational impacts resulting from future-state process and policy decisions.
  • Collaborate with provincial partners, vendors, and project teams to resolve issues and advance deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on project risks, decisions, dependencies, and implementation impacts.
  • Prepare executive briefings, recommendations, presentations, and leadership updates.
  • Support organizational readiness, stakeholder engagement, communication, and transition planning activities.
  • Escalate significant issues requiring leadership awareness, direction, or decision-making.
