- The Sr Warehouse and Internal Logistics Manager leads a team of +450 employees with the responsibility of Logistics Operations in Packing and Processing buildings (Internal Warehousing and Material Supply), ensuring the efficient flow of materials from receiving through storage, production supply, and finished goods handling. This role drives operational excellence, safety, inventory accuracy, cost optimization, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting production requirements and business growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Support and manage front-line leaders (Supervisors, Group Leaders, Team Coordinators) in 3+ Packing Buildings and Processing Buildings.
- Support and drive the correct implementation and sustainability of Logistics strategic initiatives.
- Be a safety role model in Logistics and Packing.
- Be a 5S role model in Logistics and Packing.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and cycle count execution.
- Ensure uninterrupted material supply to production.
- Know and ensure the right execution of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)
- Know and ensure the right execution of OEA & CTPAT
- Ensure the right accomplishment of OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001
- Responsible for Logistics operation performance management: safety, quality, delivery, costs, and people KPIs.
- Responsible for people development (Supervisors).
- Responsible for PULSE (motivation & Satisfaction) operational results.
- Leads benchmark best practices in operational process activities across site & global (people management, D&I, shopfloor management, productivity)
- Collaborate with other departments such are: Training, HBW, Prepack, Final Pack, Processing, Planning, Procurement, Imports-Exports and external suppliers.
- Continuously strive to improve processes to reduce costs in the Logistics Operations.
- Lead Lean, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive WMS, ERP and automation projects.
- Manage & ensure internal resources required to run Logistics Operation are available: racks, forklifts, AGVs, LGVs, handheld scanners, wrapping machine, battery exchanger.
- Proactive approach and responsibility in terms of solving critical problems related to Logistics Operations.
- Ensure RIT (Internal Work Regulation) is followed and applied.
- Provide feedback and supervision. Establish individual and group goals. Focus on results
- Develop of Annual budget and adhere to it.
Do you have what it takes?
- Demonstrated experience in Warehouse and Logistics Internal Material Flow Processes within a Manufacturing environment.
- People Leader experience.
- High level of Leadership, analytical skills, results orientation, strategic thinking, decision-making, problem solving, teamwork, collaboration, stakeholder management, proactivity, dynamism, open-mindedness, high flexibility, change management, personnel administration.
- Operational Excellence, lean manufacturing Tools (5´s, JIT, TPM, Kanban, Gemba).
- Broad knowledge of forklift types, battery rooms, racking systems, and intralogistics.
- MS Office, SAP Galaxy knowledge, Warehouse management system (COMBI). Experience working in Warehouses and Material supply to production lines. Experience using AGV´s (Automated Guided Vehicles).
- CTPAT and/or OEA knowledge.
- Previous experience working with WMS, ERP (SAP) and automation solutions.
- Experience in Cost and Budget management.
Note: This position is based at our LEGO Operaciones de Mexico manufacturing factory located in Cienega de Flores, NL This is not a remote position
