Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 base salary + quarterly incentive program

What you will be doing:
As a Sales & Event Manager, you'll play a key role in creating exceptional experiences. From the first client inquiry to the successful execution of an event, you'll combine your passion for hospitality, sales expertise, and attention to detail to build meaningful relationships, secure new business, and bring unforgettable events to life.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively pursuing and securing new event bookings through proactive sales efforts, networking, and relationship-building
- Conducting in-person and virtual consultations with clients to understand their vision, needs, and event goals
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales and planning process, providing exceptional service every step of the way
- Conducting site tours and client meetings to ensure seamless event planning and execution
- Using superb customer service, communication, and negotiation skills to establish new client and vendor relationships as well as nurturing existing ones
- Responding promptly and professionally to inquiries, preparing customized proposals, and guiding clients through available menu and service options
- Creating contracts, preparing event documentation, and managing deposits while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Leading event details meetings and coordinating logistics to ensure all event requirements are clearly communicated and executed
- Preparing accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and collaborating with culinary, operations, and service teams to deliver exceptional events
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales, generate new leads, and enhance the overall client experience
- Staying informed of hospitality, wedding, catering, and event industry trends to support innovation and business development
- Participating in sales initiatives, networking opportunities, industry events, and team meetings to support company goals
- Supporting on-site event execution as required, ensuring events are delivered to the highest standards and client expectations are exceeded
The spark you bring to every event:
- 3-5 years of special event, hospitality, or travel and tourism related experience
- 2-3 years of leadership experience
- Post-Secondary education, specialization in Event Management, Professional Event Planning, Tourism, Hospitality Management, Social Sciences, or Arts preferred.
- Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA) or Wedding Planner Institute of Canada (WPIC) certifications considered an asset
- Knowledge of Event Temple is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
- A client-first mindset with a passion for creating memorable events.
- Proven ability to stay organized and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
- Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
