POSITION SUMMARY
Since Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy International Science Partnerships Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of fundamental and applied research in the commercial space sector. This leader will drive and manage large networks of international academic researchers, space agencies, and scientific stakeholders to help build dynamic international partnerships to support continuous science, R&D, and expanded manufacturing operations in space. The role will that strategically address key scientific opportunities and enable commercial innovation while driving strategic growth in emerging commercial low Earth orbit (LEO) markets.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and lead management and expansion of the Axiom Space University Alliance through strategic engagement and international scientific collaboration.
Engage in business development, strategic planning, and logistical coordination to orchestrate Alliance membership, customer engagement, and community outreach efforts.
Coordinate Alliance activities such as meetings, Working Groups, workshops, conference sessions, and integrate Alliance activities into broader Axiom Space business strategies.
Lead the development and publication of manuscripts and white papers, and track and complete action items arising from Alliance activities, alongside Axiom Space colleagues and Alliance members.
Alongside Axiom Space colleagues, develop and support international partner relationships for science-based LEO activities including research, technology development, and in-space manufacturing.
Ensure Alliance membership feedback is captured, analyzed, and integrated into future Alliance planning and community activities.
Communicate program progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.
Implement and maintain an efficient and flexible program management style that encourages collegial interaction amongst the Alliance and reflects member priorities while supporting Axiom’s strategic goals.
Help create and develop customer pipelines for key scientific markets, contributing towards development of new opportunities and helping shape compelling value propositions.

Education & Experience
Undergraduate and/or Master’s Degree in an aerospace or science field with 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven ability to initiate and negotiate agreements, collaborations, and teams and build impactful strategic partnerships.
Experience supporting or leading academic and/or research programs and partnerships is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to make things happen effectively and efficiently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Uses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges.
Demonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high-quality results.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
Requirements
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical program milestones.
Travel (domestic and international) may be required as needed
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time)
