DNCHC Del Norte Community Health CenterOpen Door Community Health Centers (ODCHC) provides high-quality primary health care through a network of sites. The Administrative Director (AD) is the senior operational leader for their assigned health center(s), accountable for safe, compliant, financially sustainable, and effective daily operations.The AD ensures appropriate staffing, facilities, systems, and workflows to maximize patient access to high-quality, cost-effective care. They ensure alignment with ODCHC policies, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards, while proactively identifying and managing operational, staffing, performance, and compliance risks.
Working in close partnership with medical and site leadership, and in collaboration with central departments, the AD fosters a welcoming, efficient, and sustainable environment for patients, staff, and providers.
Compensation Range:
$105,820.00-$122,883.47Operational Leadership & Strategic Alignment
Maximizes health center resources, patient access, and quality of care through effective operations.
Sets clear site and program goals and ensures accountability across all departments.
Partners with the COO, medical leadership, and other departments to align operations with Open Door’s North Star Pillars: Access, Patient and Community Experience, Quality and Safety, People, and Sustainability.
Maintains transparent communication with the COO on key developments, risks, performance issues, and operational needs; shares best practices and highlights short- and long-term successes.
Anticipates operational, staffing, performance, and compliance risks; takes timely action and escalates as needed.
Implements and sustains ODCHC-approved programs, policies, and procedures.
Assumes accountability for health center budget performance, including labor, operating expenses, and resource allocation; partners with organizational leaders to develop forecasts, manage variances, and ensure responsible stewardship of financial resources.
Monitors and analyzes operational, financial, and quality data; addresses trends and inaccuracies and drives improvement with staff and partners.
Demonstrates leadership through consistent presence, engagement, follow-through, and a focus on reducing burden and improving workflow.
People Management, Staffing & Culture
Works with leadership, Human Resources, other health center sites, and outside agencies to always ensure the best possible staffing levels to support safe, effective, and accessible service delivery.
Exercises authority, in collaboration with relevant department heads, in recruitment, hiring, scheduling, supervision, evaluation, dismissal, and other personnel actions.
Ensures annual performance reviews, compliance requirements, and performance management for health center staff are completed accurately and on time.
Oversees onboarding and orientation of new staff to ensure competency, role clarity, and quality of care.
Oversees workforce scheduling and timekeeping practices to ensure compliance with wage and hour requirements, including accurate recording of time worked, meal and rest periods, overtime management, and timely payroll processing.
Creates, promotes, and maintains a culture of safety, respect, accountability, and professionalism.
Contributes positively to the efficiency, accessibility, productivity, quality, safety, compassion, and professionalism of the work environment.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
Understands, follows, models, explains, and enforces ODCHC policies, procedures, and standards.
Ensures compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements, including coordination of safety drills and audits in partnership with Compliance.
Leads the site in addressing, resolving, and documenting patient and employee concerns and complaints in accordance with ODCHC policies and procedures.
Communication, Collaboration & Change Leadership
Maintains consistent, clear communication across the health center; facilitates strong interdepartmental collaboration and accountability.
Leads and supports site participation in quality and process improvement initiatives.
Manages and leads change initiatives, including workflow redesign, staffing adjustments, and implementation of new systems or models of care.
Serves as an active participant in site-specific and organization-wide teams and committees.
Represents ODCHC professionally and effectively within the community.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPEEREINCE:
Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in health care management.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in health services administration or a related field preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Administrative Director is the primary supervisor for the Office Manager, Back Office Manager, and other assigned health center staff. Supervisory responsibilities include training and development and performance management.
Supervision is carried out in close coordination with relevant central and departmental leaders through dotted-line relationships, including but not limited to the Director of Patient Access, Director of Clinical Services, and Regional RN Manager, to ensure alignment with organizational standards and clinical and operational expectations.
SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT: The Administrative Director is directly supervised by the Chief Operations Officer and is an integral member of the health center leadership team.
