Commercial Territory Manager, Southwest Texas - Automotive Refinish

Our Commercial Territory Managers spend 100% of their available time on industrial sales growth and account maintenance.

As a Commercial Territory Manager, you will be accountable to develop profitable new light industrial coatings business for the Automotive Refinish group. You will report to the Commercial Regional Sales Manager and will work in partnership with the assigned Territory Managers, Architectural stores and Architectural dealers using our Light Industrial Coatings distributors to accomplish growth goals. Territory includes the Southwest side of Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow direct and distributor sales within a territory.

• Serve as PPG Commercial Coatings’ primary representative and technical resource.

• Prospect and convert new leads; develop distribution network.

• Train and support distributors to improve performance.

• Collaborate on sales strategies and lead joint customer visits.

• Utilize CRM and deliver product training and presentations.

• Develop SOPs and monitor competitors.

• Manage expenses and maintain ethical, customer-focused sales.

• Handle multiple sales opportunities and coach partners.

• Communicate across all customer levels.

• Through PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program, you'll have the flexibility to drive your own vehicle while receiving tax-advantaged reimbursement for fuel, insurance, and other eligible business-related vehicle expenses. The program is designed to provide a convenient, cost-effective alternative to a company vehicle while giving you greater choice and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related discipline preferred; Equivalent sales experience will also be considered.

• 2+ years of previous experience with commercial territory management.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a requirement.

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and using a CRM database.

• Paint or coatings experience is required; Automotive Refinish experience would be advantageous.

• Travel up to 50%.

• Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance, have access to a personal vehicle that meets PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program requirements, and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
