Job Purpose:

Yokogawa is seeking an Advanced Solution Engineer (APC) based in Saudi Arabia to support the delivery of Advanced Process Control (APC) and optimization solutions for industrial customers. The successful candidate will be involved in system deployment, engineering, testing, commissioning, and customer support, while developing the skills required to become a lead APC engineer.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Report project progress and activities to management in a timely manner. Study and understand Advanced Solution software and hardware specifications. Install and configure Advanced Solution software and hardware systems. Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and support customer demonstrations. Perform site installation, commissioning, and startup activities. Develop APC engineering knowledge through project participation and self-learning. Execute projects in accordance with Yokogawa's project implementation standards and provide technical consultation when required. Build strong customer relationships to understand operational requirements and identify opportunities for additional business. Support sales and business development activities, including preparation of technical proposals, presentations, and customer visits. Develop the capability to perform as a lead engineer within the first year. Manage assigned tasks independently and proactively. Travel approximately 50% of the time to customer sites within and outside the region.

Qualification and Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience in process industries, plant operations, automation, or solution engineering. Knowledge of one or more of the following industries: Oil and gas, Refining, Chemical plants. Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: Process Control Systems, Advanced Process Control (APC), Process Historians, DCS Advanced Control Applications Experience with Yokogawa solutions, including EXA products, is an advantage.

Competencies:

Strong commitment and perseverance in completing assigned tasks. Willingness to conduct intensive remote site activities such as step testing and commissioning. Positive attitude toward continuous learning and professional development. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Skills:

Good knowledge of Windows OS, networking, OPC communications, and database systems. Strong technical documentation and report-writing skills in English. Driving license.
