Job Description:

• Key duties & responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of Hitachi Rail HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Report HSE performance indicators to the HSE Manager.
  • Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, observations, and statistics.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
  • Promote environmental awareness and good housekeeping practices.
  • Support environmental inspections and sustainability initiatives.
  • Verify availability and adequacy of emergency equipment.
  • Support emergency response planning and drills.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to project-specific safety requirements.
  • Promote employee participation in HSE programs.
  • Participate in contractor inspections and performance evaluations.
  • Support safety campaigns and awareness initiatives.
  • Conduct HSE inductions for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Monitor the closure of HSE observations and corrective actions.
  • Report, record, and investigate accidents, incidents, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near misses.
  • Assist project teams in implementing appropriate risk mitigation measures.
  • Review work permits and ensure control measures are implemented.
  • Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment activities.
  • Verify proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Identify hazards and unsafe behaviors and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and workplace audits.
  • Assist in maintaining Hitachi Rail’s management systems.
  • Monitor HSE performance and report any non-compliance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Egyptian legal requirements, client requirements, and company regulations.
  • Qualifications:
  • Education
    Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Certifications
  • NEBOSH IGC – Level 3.
  • NIOSH Certification.
  • ISO 45001 Internal Auditor. (Preferred).
  • First Aid and Fire Safety Training

  • Experience

  • 3+ years of HSE experience.
  • Experience in railways, construction, infrastructure, transportation, or industrial projects.
  • Experience working with contractors and multinational organizations is an advantage.
