Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated AI Engineer Co-op to join the Cerebro Team, FGF's innovation hub focused on leveraging Artificial Intelligence to solve real business challenges. Working alongside AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders, you will help design, build, and test intelligent solutions that enhance productivity, automate processes, and unlock insights across the organization. This role provides hands-on experience with generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, and emerging technologies in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Support the development and implementation of AI-powered applications and intelligent automation solutions
• Assist with data preparation, model testing, prompt engineering, and performance evaluation
• Build internal tools, automations, and dashboards that drive measurable impact
• Write and troubleshoot Python code to support AI, analytics, and automation initiatives
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, technical discussions, and solution design activities
• Document AI solutions, experiments, and best practices
• Collaborate with business teams to identify opportunities where AI can drive efficiency and innovation

 

Key Qualifications

 

• Pursuing post-secondary studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
• Experience with Python and strong programming fundamentals
• Understanding of AI, machine learning, or generative AI concepts gained through coursework, research, or personal projects
• Familiarity with APIs, data processing, and prompt engineering concepts
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with a passion for continuous learning
• Hands on exposure to LLMs (prompting, RAG, fine‑tuning, or agentic frameworks) is considered an asset
• Passion for emerging technologies and applying AI to solve real-world business problems
