Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Field Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and common areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual activity, facility issues, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and responding personnel regarding incidents and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
