Saw Operator (Night Shift)

Overview

This is a Saw Operator position responsible for properly reading and executing work orders to timely meet customer requirements. This non-exempt (hourly) position typically reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities. The position requires working in accordance with Triple-S Steel job requirements and Safe Methods of Work. Overtime hours may be required to meet our customers’ needs.

 

Location: 6000 Jensen Drive Houston, TX 77026

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM-3:00 AM. Must be available for overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operation of saw                                                                   
• Operation of 10 ton overhead crane
• Operation of in-feed and out-feed conveyor system            
• Operation of forklift              
• Pulling / staging product                                                       
• Stacking and banding processed material
• Lifting of processed parts (40lbs or less)                               
• Lifting of overhead chains / hooks
• Maintaining saw and conveyor system

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane utilizing pendant or radio controls
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Responsible for providing error free work to all external and internal customers
• Applicant must successfully pass all components of the physical requirements of the position
• Must be able to distinguish color, regardless of position of colors
