KBR is looking for Lead MAC Digitalization Engineer for ADNOC PMC project to be based in Abu Dhabi - UAE.

 

Job Purpose

 

Lead and drive the Project's digitalization strategy and implementation by providing technical leadership in the deployment and integration of digital technologies, automation systems, Industrial IoT (IIoT), data analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and OT/IT systems across all project phases. Ensure alignment with COMPANY standards and business objectives while enhancing operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, safety, cybersecurity, and overall project performance within approved cost and schedule targets

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·       Review all relevant engineering deliverables prepared by Contractor/ Consultant including but limited to project digitalization strategy, objectives, and implementation roadmap.

·       Participating in relevant workshops providing expertise to ensure design is meeting project requirements

·       Respond to technical queries from Contractor/ Consultant and others, as deemed necessary in respect to relevant discipline.

·       Ensures safe, economic and technically sound decisions in all project phases.

·       Verify that all discipline deliverables are completed correctly and satisfactorily.

·       Review requests for Design Deviations / Concession Requests proposed.

·       Review technical content of variation order in the Project Contract.

·       Participate in design review meetings.

·       Review and approve digital solutions, architectures, and implementation plans proposed by contractors and technology providers.

·       Monitor contractor and vendor performance against approved digitalization deliverables, milestones, and KPIs.

·       Lead the evaluation and selection of digital technologies, platforms, and innovative solutions to support project needs.

·       Ensure compliance with company digital governance frameworks, cybersecurity requirements, and applicable industry standards.

·       Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, IT, OT, and business stakeholders to align digitalization activities.

·       Facilitate integration between project digital systems and corporate platforms to ensure data consistency and interoperability.

·       Review and approve digital deliverables, including dashboards, data models, digital twin solutions, analytics tools, and reporting platforms.

·       Identify digital transformation opportunities that improve safety, operational efficiency, decision-making, and asset performance.

·       Manage risks associated with digitalization initiatives and ensure timely resolution of issues impacting project delivery.

·       Promote adoption of digital solutions through stakeholder engagement, awareness, and change management activities.

·       Track benefits realization and measure the effectiveness of digitalization initiatives against business objectives.

·       Provide periodic reports and recommendations to project leadership on digitalization performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities.

·       Review of relevant equipment design

·       Review of engineering datasheets.

·       Review calculations

·       Fully understand COMPANY HSE policy, procedures, regulations, and objectives as they relate to area of responsibility.

·       Ensure that work under control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner.

·       Ensures thorough implementation in terms of execution concepts / impacts in terms of schedule.

·       Ensure and manages change issues and resolve technical issues for smooth implementation of the Project

Qualifications

·       A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering (i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Computer, Software, Electronic, Marine, Ship Captain, etc.) or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of Seventeen (18+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including minimum (5) years (Preferred) in GCC region.

·       Lead must have at least three (3) years of experience to manage a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers and Engineers.

·       Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position for international Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.

·       Should have experience in dealing and engaging with a Main Automation Contractor for a project involving multiple EP contractors.

·       Should know and understand the interface issues and have experience in resolving them amicably among multiple contractors.

·       Should have ADNOC experience for Onshore and offshore assets and preferably H2S experience.
