The Technician II performs the standard tasks in the oligonucleotides production process, within the assigned Value Stream and process step. This can include the synthesis, cleavage from the solid support, deprotection, desalting, purification, quantification, QC sampling and/or final processing of oligonucleotides. 

This position reports to the supervisor and is part of the Column Based Synthesis department located in Leuven, Belgium and will be an on-site role. The position is in the night shift.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform the synthesis, cleavage from the solid support, deprotection, desalting, purification, quantification, QC sampling, Chemical Mixing and/or final processing of oligonucleotides.

• Operate DNA/RNA synthesizers, HPLC’s and/or other instruments in the lab that are needed to complete the tasks listed above

• Perform calibration, maintenance, cleaning tasks on designated equipment as scheduled or requested.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science related field preferred
• 0-2 years of working experience required
• Fluency in Dutch and proficient in English, or fluent in English.
• Ability to multi-task
• Punctual & accurate way of working

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Lab techniques
