What you’ll own
We are particularly seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Security Risk Specialist to help us evaluate, formalize and mitigate cyber security risks of the new combined company, as well as the significant change risks associated with our company’s functions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and recommending security measures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our data and systems during and after the separation process, contributing to the build-out of Worldpay’s security risk and governance processes.
Core Responsibilities
- Risk Management: Make your mark through developing and implementing IT security risk management strategies, policies, and procedures for the combined company. Build up best practices using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Risk Assessment: Collaborate with the business and project owners to understand the nature of the business and proposed changes (across technology, process and people changes), in order to assess and contextualize key risk exposure to latest threat trends.
- Business Enabler: Support the business areas to build security into their processes as they navigate the changing business and technology landscape of the combined company. Provide guidance and support to internal teams on security risk management principles and practices.
- Remediation Planning: Define the requirements and acceptance criteria for the implementation and maintenance of remediation measures to safeguard security needs during the transition.
- Reporting and Communication: Reporting of the observations and findings to senior cyber and business leadership, and support the tracking of remediation items.
- Ongoing Monitoring: Monitor and analyze security metrics to proactively identify and address emerging risks.
- Continuous improvement: Leveraging the learnings from the assessments, and your expertise, to help shape Worldpay’s to-be cyber risk and governance processes.
What you bring
- Proven cyber risk experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber security risk and governance roles, for example: risk assessment, remediation planning, building ISMS, and controls assessments. Preferably in a financial services or technology sector.
- Understanding of quantitative risk management models, for example, FAIR.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to delve into the details of complex separation project to uncover key changes and security factors to consider, and apply a threat-led mindset to what-could-go-wrong. Proven ability to working through ambiguity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field, or the combination of demonstrable relevant experience and skills.
- One or more certifications such as, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.
- Applied knowledge of security risk frameworks, for example, COBIT, Cyber Risk Institute, ISO 27001, NIST Cyber Security Framework, CIS Controls and Cloud Controls Matrix
