Global Manager Production

As Global Manager Production, you will lead the global seed production strategy and execution for the Mid-Tech Business Dynamic. You will shape and realize our business objectives, build strong production capabilities and lead a high-performing team. In this role, you help ensure reliable seed supply worldwide and support our purpose: ‘Breeding to feed the world’ by delivering innovative vegetable varieties across the globe.

Make a difference as Global Manager Production 

As Global Manager Production, you are accountable for the global seed production performance for the Mid-Tech Business Dynamics. This means ensuring the right quantity, quality, timing, and cost of seed production while contributing to the strategic objectives of Enza Zaden. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the production strategy and operational plans for the assigned crop portfolio. Working closely with Business Dynamic leadership, Supply Chain, R&D and commercial teams, you will ensure alignment between long-term business objectives and production execution. 

You will also represent Production within the cross-functional Business Dynamic team en Crop Segment teams and contribute to the development and realization of strategic plans and annual objectives. In this role, your work will include: 

• Leading and developing a team of production professionals to achieve business goals; 

• Leading supplier performance management in close collaboration with the Global Contract Manager; 

• Ensuring compliance with quality, phytosanitary, IP protection, and regulatory requirements; 

• Contributing to crop strategic plans and preparing business cases for new production concepts and innovations; 

• Leading production topics within the Tactical Seed Supply Team and ensuring effective communication between strategic and operational teams; 

• Monitoring performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives; 

• Actively contributing as a member of the Production Management Team to departmental strategy and execution.  

You will report to the VP Production and play an active role within both the Business Dynamic team and the Production Management Team.

You are skilled at stakeholder management, thrive in a dynamic environment, and have a passion for driving continuous improvement and business performance. In addition, you have: 

• A university degree (Master's level) in Agricultural Engineering, Seed Production, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; 

• 12 or more years of relevant experience in seed production, seed supply chain, or a comparable international environment; 

• Hands on experience in working with cross functional teams and leading your own team; 

• Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex datasets and business challenges; 

• Demonstrated expertise in process improvement and project management; 

• Good understanding of financial management and business planning; 

• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English and Dutch

• A gross monthly salary between € €7,774.05 and €11,105.78, based on a full-time workweek of 38 hours and aligned with your knowledge and experience;

• 25 vacation days, the option to purchase additional vacation days, and one paid vitality day per year, with extra vacation days granted as you get older; 

• A laptop and mobile phone provided by Enza Zaden; 

• A company car; 

• A contribution toward overnight accommodation costs if you live farther away from Enza Zaden. This program applies to employees working for Enza Zaden in the Netherlands whose one-way commute exceeds 100 kilometers and 75 minutes; 

• An attractive retirement plan, commuting reimbursement if you live more than 10 kilometers from your workplace and a remote work allowance when working partly from home in consultation with your manager;
