Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Yuma, Arizona
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | 8-Hour Shifts
Hours: 80 hours per two-week pay period
Pay Range: $40.82–$61.23 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 with a one-year commitment or $10,000 with a two-year commitment
Relocation Assistance: $5,000 with a one-year commitment
Housing Assistance: Up to 3 months of fully furnished housing may be available
Job Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to join its Radiation Oncology team in Yuma, Arizona.
The Radiation Therapist will provide safe, accurate, and compassionate radiation treatments under the direction of Radiation Oncologists and department leadership. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support patients throughout their course of treatment.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of Radiation Therapy experience, current ARRT(T) certification, and an active Arizona Radiation Therapy license.
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions and established treatment plans
- Accurately position patients for treatment
- Assist patients safely on and off the treatment table
- Operate radiation therapy equipment and initiate or stop treatment beams according to prescribed parameters
- Verify patient identity, treatment site, and treatment setup prior to each procedure
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Provide compassionate support and education to patients throughout their radiation therapy course
- Work closely with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapy leadership, physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other clinical staff
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation
- Utilize Epic and Aria for clinical documentation, treatment delivery, and workflow management
- Operate Varian radiation therapy equipment
- Follow established radiation safety, quality assurance, and patient safety standards
- Report equipment concerns or treatment issues promptly to department leadership
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
- Participate in department quality and performance improvement initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of two years of Radiation Therapist experience
- Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy, ARRT(T)
- Current Arizona Radiation Therapy license
- Strong knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and radiation safety
- Ability to position patients accurately for treatment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to treatment accuracy
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with Radiation Oncologists and the interdisciplinary oncology team
- Ability to work full-time 8-hour day shifts
Preferred
- Previous hospital or cancer center Radiation Therapy experience
- Experience with Varian treatment equipment
- Experience using Aria
- Experience using Epic
- Experience working with a broad range of radiation oncology patients
Schedule & Department Information
- Full-time day-shift position
- 8-hour shifts
- 80 hours per two-week pay period
- Weekend coverage is very infrequent
- No routine holiday requirement
- No call or standby requirement
- Radiation Oncology physician available in-house
- Radiation Therapy Lead provides department support
- IV starts are not required
- Black scrubs
Sign-On & Relocation Support
Qualified candidates may be eligible for:
- $5,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year employment commitment
- $10,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year employment commitment
- $5,000 relocation assistance with a one-year employment commitment
- Up to three months of fully furnished housing, with one- or two-bedroom accommodations available based on eligibility and availability
