The Opportunity

How You'll Make an Impact
Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, repair, upgrade, and retrofit activities for power systems, electrical equipment, and service solutions across the Hitachi Energy portfolio.
Deliver high-quality technical support remotely and on-site to resolve customer issues efficiently.
Execute field service activities in accordance with technical procedures, contractual requirements, and customer expectations.
Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults using technical documentation, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
Conduct routine, preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance activities while recommending improvements to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and lifecycle management.
Lead and coordinate responses to critical service events, customer escalations, and emergency situations, ensuring effective resolution and minimal operational impact.
Provide technical guidance and on-the-job coaching to Field Service Engineers, Technicians, and subcontractors, supporting competency development and knowledge sharing.
Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for service agreements, upgrades, modernization projects, digital solutions, spare parts, and refurbishment services.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to support customer needs and contribute to business growth.
Prepare accurate service reports, technical documentation, risk assessments, method statements, fault analyses, repair records, improvement recommendations, and site records.
Manage spare parts and tool inventories, ensuring timely availability for service interventions.
Travel to customer sites locally and internationally, as required.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in field service, installation, commissioning, maintenance, testing, or related engineering activities.
Experience working within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and coordinating and guiding Field Service Engineer teams to ensure effective service delivery, resource utilization, and customer satisfaction.
Strong understanding of transformers, substations, high-voltage equipment, power quality solutions, protection and control systems, grid automation solutions, and power systems.
Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
Ability and willingness to travel frequently to customer sites, often on short notice, within Egypt and potentially internationally.
Experience with Hitachi Energy or similar energy technology products and systems is considered an advantage.
Proven track record of managing service level agreements (SLAs) and leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
