Role Overview:
The Supply Chain have an exciting opportunity to join a recently formed team driving change and improvements within the inventory control area of the business. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to be responsible for numerous transactions, audits and KPI’s to aid with the business performance. The duties of the Inventory Controller will include daily auditing of sub-inventories & jobs, the completion of production jobs and transaction of non-confirming goods (stressfails etc). The successful candidate must be able to develop a rounded product technical knowledge and be comfortable inputting, maintaining and reporting data. They will ensure all good working practices are followed, 5S is maintained to an acceptable level; and company values & behaviours are promoted through leading by example.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Transact boards within Oracle system from sub-inventories.
- Maintain and communicate accurate counts of WIP and non-conforming product on a daily basis.
- Control the movement of non-conforming product within the process.
- Produce weekly inventory audit reports through physical and system comparison and reconciliation.
- Highlight inventory risks within the operation.
- Ensure processes are adhered to during counts and transactions allowing for good inventory management.
- Ensure all mount and mainline jobs match, also ensuring traceability though the system.
- Escalate any process breaches and stock discrepancy to the Inventory Control Team Leader in a timely manner.
- Ensure seamless shift handover through attending daily shift handover meetings.
Person Specification:
Essential
- Collaborates with employees from various departments.
- Works as part of a team and has strong communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and delivers results within agreed deadlines.
- Strong product control qualities.
- Computer literate (specifically Microsoft suite).
- Willingness to develop technical and non technical knowledge.
Desirable
- Experience with the Oracle system
- Knowledge of production material process flows
- Understanding of inventory control procedures
- Experience of working in a fast paced, mass production environment
