What You'll Do
Instrument Sterilization & Processing
- Collect, clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA, CDC, and state guidelines
- Operate sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners
- Package and organize instruments using proper sterilization methods
- Monitor sterilization cycles, biological indicators, and testing logs
- Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on sterilization equipment
Infection Control & Clinical Readiness
- Clean and disinfect treatment rooms between patients
- Prepare and break down procedure trays and clinical setups
- Maintain a safe, sterile, and organized clinical environment
- Properly handle and dispose of biohazardous waste and sharps
Inventory & Supply Management
- Monitor inventory levels and restock sterilization supplies
- Assist with ordering and maintaining supply inventory
- Keep storage areas organized and efficient
Team Support
- Ensure clinical staff have clean, sterilized instruments when needed
- Prepare treatment setups based on daily schedules
- Communicate proactively regarding equipment concerns or workflow delays
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, CDC, and infection control protocols
- Stay current on required training and safety procedures
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in dental sterilization or sterile processing preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, organized, and able to multitask in a busy clinical environment
- Positive attitude with excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Passion for supporting outstanding patient care
